Discoverers 2 Home learning Challenges

Lennox, Finn, Jack and Leroy were invited up on stage at the whole school Assembly to share their fabulous Home Learning Challenges.

Lennox created a monster Football word find.  His favourite player is Messi.

Finn made a replica model of Richard Pearse's aeroplane.  He explained how Richard Pearse from Temuka was actually the first person to get a plane in the air but people were more interested in the Wright brothers.

Jack shared a booklet he made about a New Zealand inventor called Allan Gibbs who designed an amphibious vehicle.  

Leroy created a copy New Zealand's latest America's Cup boat.  He explained how the foils worked and as well as the pedal power the crew members use to power the hydraulic systems.

Jellybean Challenge

A few weeks ago there was a jellybean challenge at St Martins School.  There were three jars and Nick guessed 702 in the largest jar.  He was correct!!  He took the jellybeans home and made cupcakes.  Then he decorated them with 3 jellybeans on the top.  They were delicious!!
