Rock Day

Last week Sam, Coopers Dad came into our class and taught us about Rocks.  It was interesting to
learn about all the different kinds of Rocks.  All the rocks he bought in came from different parts of New Zealand.  We found out why some rocks are lighter than others like pumice.  He was even kind enough to let us to keep one giant one.
The highlight was building the volcanoes!!!

We named him Bob the rock

Here Sam is helping us make volcano.

Room 3 enjoyed an early spring day that kept the thoughts of winter away!

Group 1 composted dry leaves by placing them at the root of the trees!

Group 2 harvested broccoli, herbs, carrots and silver beat!

Group 3 watered the dry plants.

Group 4 did some eye watering weeding.

Group 5 were planting carrots and group 6 were in the recording group (the group that goes around and writes and draws what the other groups are doing).

So that’s what we did on the sunny Tuesday the 28!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
